The strength of the conference of the World Public Forum in Rhodes, which met this year for the seventh time, lies in the fact that it emphasizes the concept of a "dialogue of civilizations" for solving problems. Again this year, it gathered over 500 academics, religious leaders, economists, politicians, artists, and journalists from 60 countries, to discuss various subjects.

It may not have come across outside of Berlin, due to the early severe problems with the internet transmission, that this third webcast of Helga Zepp-LaRouche was an extraordinary event: the room was packed with 120 chairs occupied, some of our own youth even gave their chairs to some late-arriving guests, so that at the peak, the audience comprised up to 75-80 guests outside of our own BueSo/LYM presence.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche was a featured speaker at the 2009 Workshop of the German Association of Construction Inspection Engineers (BVPI), that took place on Sept. 18 on the North Sea island of Sylt, with 250 attendees.

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (anhri.net), based in Egypt, issued a declaration on Aug. 27, announcing "changes in the list of priorities" after consultations with its members, other NGOs, and other groups in Egyptian society.
