In front of San Francisco Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's office, the Summer Shields for Congress campaign was officially kicked off at a small press conference. The Fog City Journal and the Youth Outreach! magazine were both present, as well as a one man LaRouche PAC-TV film crew. Summer Shields presented the case for impeachment of Pelosi and President Obama, given the secretive nature of their health-care negotiations, and the need for the "LaRouche Plan." He advertised the upcoming Washington D.C. press conference on Tuesday with LaRouche Youth Movement candidates Rachel Brown and Kesha Rogers.
Afterward, Luke Thomas, a naturalized American citizen of eight years (he is from Britain, and supports the NHS!) and founder of the Fog City Journal, asked Shields questions, and invited him to write op-eds for his publication. The Journal already contains such distinguished political figures as Cindy Sheehan, who is running in the post-primary election for the 8th Congressional District, and Assemblywoman and California Majority Whip Fiona Ma.
Two young ladies from Youth Outlook! interviewed Shields on video for about five minutes. Further investigation into YO! magazine showed that some of its primary sponsors are none other than such upstanding institutions like: The Ford Foundation and Soros' Open Society Institute, among others on a list of about 40 sponsors.
In total, three youth supporters and four older supporters attended the press conference and said they enjoyed the campaign momentum. A campaign spokesman said that now that they have their office up and running, Summer Shields For Congress will begin integrating a volunteer phone call apparatus into their operations with their various supporters.
