Robert Schumann Musical Celebration: Part 2

On June 20, 2010, LaRouche PAC and the LaRouche Youth Movement held a concert to celebrate the birthday of Robert Schumann. (part 1)

This celebration came as the culmination of a multi-day series of workshops and pedagogical classes, many of which can be found on this site as well, in addition to being the product of much longer process of dedicated research and vocal training.

This second part has a short pedagogical presentation from David Shavin and John Sigerson on Felix Mendelssohn's Opus 13, along with a presentation of the first two movements of the string quartet, and more solo presentations of German Lieder, including Schumann's Die Beiden Grenadiere and Wehmut, Mozart's An Chloe, Schubert's Heidenröslein and Litanei, and the night ended with a presentation of Brahms' Wie Melodien zieht es.
