On May 15, 2013 a resolution "memorializing Congress to enact legislation that would reinstate the separation of commercial and investment banking functions in effect under the Glass-Steagall Act" was introduced into the Minnesota State Senate. The lead sponsor is Republican Sen. Sean Nienow and the four cosponsors are two Democrats and two Republicans.
