A new book, Faithless Execution: Building the Case for Obama's Impeachment by former U.S. Federal prosecutor and former top Pentagon official Andrew C. McCarthy, will be released on June 3rd. The author led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and 11 others responsible for the first bombing of the World Trade Center.

In the book's teaser, available in full on, McCarthy says this about the current administration: "Obama's presidency is a willful, systematic attack on the constitutional system of separation of powers, an enterprise that aims to bring about a new regime of government by executive decree. This is exactly the kind of subversion the Framers designed the impeachment power to address."

The author explains the consequences of inaction this way: "The failure to pursue impeachment is likely to be suicide for the country, which is much more important than the political fate of the Republican Party.

"The main point is: Faithless Execution argues against partisan hackery. I analyze the legal case for impeachment as a former prosecutor who would not go to court without a sufficient case."

According to an article in the Washington Examiner, McCarthy said: "You have to make the public case that the president has to be removed. I'm trying to make it.

"The victims are people who care if America is the America of the Constitution."

But he warned that if Congress and the nation simply turn the other way, the president will be gifted a "license" to make more potentially "lawless" moves. "I think you are going to see him put the pedal to the metal in a lot of ways," said McCarthy.

Faithless Execution, published by Encounter Books, includes seven articles of impeachment detailing President Obama's willful subversion of the Constitution. Publisher Roger Kimball said the book is one of his firm's most important because it details the president's rampant lawlessness.
