Celebrate Lyndon LaRouche's 92nd Birthday, Sept. 8 with Obama's Impeachment

Wouldn't it be poetic justice for the U.S. House of Representatives to launch impeachment proceedings against President Obama on Sept. 8, the day they return to Washington from the August recess? It happens that Sept. 8 is Lyndon LaRouche's 92nd birthday. Reps. Walter Jones, Jim McGovern and Barbara Lee, the three initiators of HCR 105 demanding that Obama come to congress for formal authorization under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution, wrote to John Boehner earlier this week, demanding that he convene hearings on Sept. 8 to get the Administration to formally seek Congressional debate and authorization of any further military action. HCR 105 passed the House in July by an overwhelming 370-40 bipartisan majority and Boehner has no excuse for not complying with the Jones-McGovern-Lee demand.

LaRouche noted on Friday that "Obama has already violated the law. He should be just impeached immediately."

Indeed, more than 60 days have passed since the start of the U.S. military engagements in Iraq against the Islamic State and it is time for Obama to bring his case before Congress and the American people. General Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been pressing for Obama to adopt a competent policy to wipe out IS and to present it for Congressional authorization, and Lyndon LaRouche fully backed Gen. Dempsey in his Aug. 22 webcast.

In stark contrast to this clarity, Barack Obama, back from his two weeks on Martha's Vineyard, came across as a pathetic babbling fool on Thursday, when he told reporters at a White House press conference that he did not yet have a "strategy" for dealing with IS. This is just bunk! Obama knows that he is detested and distrusted by the American people and by the Congress and he prefers to hide behind executive orders and sneaky secret operations—none of which can crush the Islamic State. Josh Earnest, the White House press spokesman tried to cover up for Obama's gaffe by giving a CNN interview later on Thursday, claiming that Obama really does have a strategy but just has not formulated how to present it. It's amateur hour and worse. This president is finished and Congress should do the decent and Constitutional thing by dumping him now.

You can contrast Obama's pathetic behavior with the strong words of Vladimir Putin on Friday. His message to a youth camp just outside of Moscow was: "Don't mess with Russia."

Putin confidently defended Russia's actions in Crimea, explaining to the youth that the kind of genocide being conducted against Russian minorities in eastern Ukraine would have happened in Crimea if Russia had not acted. At the same time, he scoffed at the NATO claims that Russia has "invaded" Ukraine. Putin said: "Russia is far from being involved in any large-scale conflicts...We don't want that and don't plan on it. But naturally, we should always be ready to repel any aggression towards Russia."

He continued, "Russia's partners... should understand it's best not to mess with us. Thank God, I think no one is thinking of unleashing a large-scale conflict with Russia. I want to remind you that Russia is one of the leading nuclear powers."

While Putin was calling NATO's bluff, the OSCE, which has maintained observers on the Ukraine-Russian border, directly contradicted the NATO hysteria over the so-called Russian "invasion," by declaring publicly that there is no Russian invasion underway. They said there are no Russian military units crossing into Ukraine. There are volunteers crossing in to fight alongside the rebels, but this does not constitute an "invasion" or anything close to it.

Much of the hype against Russia is clearly aimed at the Sept. 4 NATO heads of state summit in Cardiff, Wales, where Britain and the Obama Administration will try to bully the rest of the NATO countries into going along with more sanctions against Russia—that will only boomerang against the already crashing European economies and banks. The Polish government, packed with neocons from Dick Cheney's closet (Foreign Minister Sikorsky is married to the Washington Post's Anne Applebaum, a real neocon witch), pulled a real stupid stunt on Friday, blocking a plane carrying Russian Defense Minister Shoighu from entering Polish air space as he was returning to Russia from a visit to Slovakia. LaRouche called the Polish actions "pathetic and infantile," noting that such behavior directed against Russia can be easily "crushed."

The fools at the White House and NATO headquarters lie that Russia is "isolated," but the reality is that Russia and China are moving forward with the BRICS initiatives and every sane nation on the planet is going to rush to join. There are now advanced efforts underway for two new canals—Suez and Nicaragua—and a revival of the Kra canal is also beginning. While Western media have been scoffing at the Nicaragua canal, the same Chinese engineering firm that did the feasibility study for the Three Gorges Dam is doing the study on the new canal. Cuban publications are describing the new canal as complementary to the Panama Canal and envision a major renaissance for the Caribbean Basin.

The Promethean Principle—the power of human creativity and great ideas—is playing out right now. The original Lyndon LaRouche International Development Bank (IDB) proposal from 1975 is coming into being. In effect, the longstanding goal of spreading the American Revolution and the American System around the world is happening. It is our mission to dump Obama, oust his protector Boehner and guarantee that the United States is a leading force in this process of global revolutionary change. It is time to put the British Empire to rest.
